The seventh is a Par 5 that demands a tense negotiation. While the ocean batters the coast merely yards away, the challenge here turns inward toward the dark, still freshwater of the lake. From an elevated tee, the fairway appears as a slender ribbon of turf, hemmed in by dense reeds that swallow errant drives without a sound.

Jeremy Turner’s routing presents a classic question of geometry and greed. The fairway arcs around the water, tempting the player to bite off more of the lake than their swing speed allows. A bold carry over the hazard shortens the journey significantly, offering a genuine look at a birdie. A timid strike, or one caught in the heavy Arctic air, leaves the golfer resigned to a labored three-shot march along the perimeter.

The destination is a broad putting surface, though it offers little safety for the careless. Three bunkers stand as sentries at the front, while the rough surrounding the complex is tangled and penal. The true danger, however, lies in the depth. To hit the approach too flush and send it long is a mistake the ground rarely forgives. It is a hole that begins with the temptation of power and ends with a strict demand for restraint.
