Lion's Mouth

The ninth is a Lion’s Mouth of hunger and clarity. A strong drive must flirt with the channel to open the angle, but the true test lies in the approach. Raynor placed a gaping sand maw directly into the front center of the green, forcing a decision that feels more moral than geometrical. To miss short is to be swallowed; to miss long is to face a treacherous descent back toward the mouth. The green wraps around the hazard like a horseshoe, demanding a shot of absolute conviction.
